Footballamericain.com: Walter, first of all, I would like to warmly thank you for taking time to answer our questions. The French football fans will be delighted to have the opportunity to better know you before the coming Draft. You were invited to the NFL combine. How did you prepare for this event and how do you think you performed?

Walter Powell:  I prepared for the event by training in Atlanta Georgia for 2 months at Georgia Training Alliance, trying to perfect the drills that I would have to perform at the combine.  I would have to say that I had an average performance at the Combine, but I believe that I put in a great performance at my pro day.

Footballamericain.com: You just left Murray States after 4 years playing for the Racers. What have been your best memories and achievements there?

Walter Powell:  Catching the game winning TD against Missouri State my senior year with 12 seconds on the clock.  My favorite achievement has been breaking a 42 year old record for most school receiving yards.

Footballamericain.com: You own school records for the most receiving yards, touchdownsTouchdown (TD)

and 100-yard games.  In 43 games, you have recorded 208 receptions for 2,650 yards and 29 touchdowns.  You also had 10 “100-yards” receiving performances. How do you feel about these numbers? Do you have any regrets about not playing on the FBS level?

Walter Powell:  I feel like they are very solid numbers, and that I can feel comfortable with them not being broken for a while.  I have no regrets at all about not playing at the FBS level, because playing on the FCS level humbled me and ignited a fire inside of me, to want to succeed more.

for touchdowns. Do you follow a special preparation for these positions, and do you think it will be an advantage in the draft to have this special teams experience?

Walter Powell:  Yes, I take a lot of repetition at fielding punts and kickoffs so that it will become second nature to me during the games.  And yes, I do believe that these skills will be an advantage to me in the draft.

Footballamericain.com: In September 2013, you had an amazing day against Missouri St., having 155 yards and 4 receiving TDs, plus 151 yards and a score in kick return. Can you say a few words about this game, when you were literally unstoppable?

Walter Powell:  I was just in a zone during that game.  I felt like every time I touched the ball, I couldn't be stopped.

Footballamericain.com: How would you qualify your game? What are your main strengths and weaknesses?

Walter Powell:  My main strengths are making the first guy miss and getting upfield for positive yardage.  I feel that my route running ability can always improve, especially at the next level.

Footballamericain.com: What would you say to any one who believes that your size may be a concern at the next level? (you are 5’11)

Walter Powell:  I would tell them to take a look at how I did against Florida State in my junior year, or how I did against Missouri my senior year.

Footballamericain.com: As a WR, what have been your favorite and least favorite moments on a Football Field?

Walter Powell:  My favorite moment was beating our rival Jacksonville State, breaking a long losing streak against them.  My least favorite moment was losing against Southeast Missouri in double overtime.

Footballamericain.com:  Who was your favorite WR to watch growing up?

Walter Powell:  Randy Moss.

Footballamericain.com: And currently, what NFL player do you think you compare favorably to?
